8.3 SINUSOIDAL STEADY-STATE RESPONSE USING COMPLEX EXPONENTIAL INPUT

The method developed in the previous section for determining the sinusoidal steady-state response of a linear circuit for a sinusoidal input is summarised below:

  1. Obtain the describing differential equation of the circuit in terms of a chosen describing variable y by nodal analysis or mesh analysis and by subsequent elimination of all variables other than the chosen one. The differential equation is put in the form shown in Eqn. 8.2-4.
