12.2 GENERALISATIONS FOR AN nth ORDER LINEAR TIME-INVARIANT CIRCUIT

We are almost through with the time-domain analysis of linear time-invariant circuits. This section summarises all the major concepts we discussed in the context of time-domain analysis in this chapter as well as in previous chapters.

Concept-1

A linear time-invariant circuit containing R, L, C, M, linear dependent sources and a single input source is described by a linear ordinary differential equation with constant coefficients. The differential equation for such a circuit can be expressed in a standard format as below:
