SIP trunking between Elastix systems

As mentioned in the last section, it is important for all enterprises to unify their remote offices and remote users in order to achieve better productivity. Most enterprises' infrastructure allow the use of VoIP solutions among their sites. In this section, we will consider two Elastix Unified Communications Servers installed in two sites in different cities. Each site has its own set of extensions and dialplans.

To join these IP-PBX's, we are considering enabling a simple SIP trunking when the IP connection between sites is secure.

The following lines show the status of each site:

  • Site A
    • Static public IP address: 201.11.22.33
    • Elastix UCS's local IP address: 192.168.1.10/255.255.255.0
