Creating analog extensions
Whenever we need to create an analog extension, we need a telephony card. This card will allow us to connect an analog phone or fax to our UCS system. This extension will be created as a DAHDI port.
How to do it…
To create an analog extension, we must first identify the port number declared in the system. We can check this value in the Hardware Detector menu. The analog extensions are identified by the title FXS and the number below this title is the port number. For this example, the FXS port used is port 65.
The next step is to select Generic DHADI Device or Generic Zap Device.
Fill the extension's values as shown in the screenshot below:
