About the Authors
Mariette Awad is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the American University of Beirut. She was also a visiting professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, Intel (Mobile and Communications Group), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was invited by the Computer Vision Center at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Google, and Qualcomm to present her work on machine learning and image processing.
