Production Timing

While a closed-circuit program needs only approximate timing, a live production fitting into a time-slot must often be accurate to a few seconds. Overruns can resylt in the end of the show being cut off (e.g. by commercial breaks), or eayse scheduling problems. Inaccurate timing can completely abort any composite production in which various contributors ‘opt in’ or ‘opt out’ (temporarily join and leave) the main presentation, to insert their own material – e.g. weather, or news items.

Live productions
