To my co-author Myron: this book has been the hardest technical project I’ve ever done—in the best possible way! There’s no word other than exhilarating to describe the feeling of watching a chapter take shape over days of back-and-forth commentary on the changes. We each brought our own obsessions to the project, and I think it shows in the usefulness of the finished work.
To my wife Lynn and my children Avalon, Robin, and Damien: thank you for putting up with a shuffling zombie after all those late nights and early mornings spent writing.
