Putting It All Together

This chapter defined all of the Process Groups and listed the processes that they comprise. You know about Knowledge Areas and how they intertwine with the Process Groups. What you don't yet know is how all of these processes are put together to produce project management methodologies specific to the varying management needs of different types of projects. That is the topic of Part II.

The remaining chapters of Part I dig deeper into the Knowledge Areas and show you the many “how-to's.” You will learn about the various methods that can be used to execute the processes within each Knowledge Area. In Part II, you will learn how to choose the best-fit method to execute a process, which may be a direct result of the type of project or dependent on one or more external factors.
