“While I would not want to meet every day for a working lunch, I do like it occasionally as a nice break from the usual routine. Last year, for example, the Oncor Project Team began with a kick-off meeting during the noon hour which included a nice buffet lunch.

In this case, the working lunch was very effective because it gave us some time to talk informally about the project and get to know our teammates in a social atmosphere. When the meeting officially started, the “ice had been broken” and everyone was in a good mood.
