Use this checklist as a guide as you design job aids. The set of questions will help you plan, develop, and evaluate job aids.

  1. Determine If the Task Should Be Job Aided.

    □ What are the repercussions for error?

    □ How complex is the task?

    □ How frequently does the task change?

    □ What are the characteristics of the user?

    □ What is the environment like where the task is performed?

  2. Design the Job Aid.
