Policy Field Visual Diagram

After identifying the institutions involved in a particular policy field and describing the tools and implementation resources in use, it is often useful to create a visual diagram to illustrate key institutions and relationships. To do so, follow two steps.

Step 1

This step documents the important relationships between the institutions identified in part 1: public agencies at national, regional/state, and local levels; philanthropies; nonprofit and private service providers; purveyors or intermediaries; research or evaluation organizations; nonprofit members; and advocacy agencies.
