On the road, weekends are a time to catch up on work and sleep, to find a park, a hiking trail, a driving range, or a back-road nine-hole course where tee times are not required, even on Sunday. Weekends are a time to restock the snack box in the car, repack a suitcase, and eat free breakfast twice, once in the early light of day and once with the other weekend travelers, late risers with dogs in their rooms and kids who swim in the noisy little indoor hotel pool.
