Chapter 6 : Essential design skills

As we have seen, in order to create an effective and successful publication, designers need a broad range of practical technical and conceptual design skills, as well as knowledge of the field. The preceding chapters have dealt with many of these individual skills, such as understanding the component parts of a publication and everyone’s role within it.
