Part 2. Final Cut Pro Effects

Editing is a craft that requires a balance between the logical and creative sides of our brain. Strong organization and technical skills are balanced by creative storytelling and visualization.

In the previous section, we looked at editing. This is the key place to begin. First, you have to tell your story. Until the story is locked in, it is a waste of time to work on effects. Once the story is complete, then you can make it look as good as possible. That’s what this section is about—effects.
