Edit Well: Final Cut Studio Techniques from the Pros

Introduction

I first started thinking about creating Edit Well in August of 2005. I had been training editors in Final Cut Pro for two years as an Apple Certified Trainer and had begun traveling around North America on seminar tours.

Everywhere I went, I met people with a real hunger to learn more about the finer points of editing with Final Cut Pro. I was struck by the incredible range of projects they were working on—from home movies for the family, to broadcast television and feature films. By far, the majority of those I met were self-employed editors working on documentaries, events, and corporate productions.

As individuals, they needed a fast way to stay current in the industry and improve their skills. And from that need, Edit Well was born. ...
