About the Authors

Suzanne Harrison is a co-founder and Principal in Percipience, LLC, a board level advisory firm focused on intellectual property strategy and management, quantifying and mitigating IP risk, increasing IP value capture, and focused innovation. She is also the Founder of Gathering2.0, the first online peer community for intellectual property professionals. She is a convener of the ICM Gathering, a group of 25 companies who have been meeting since 1995 to define, create, and benchmark best practices around Intellectual Property Management (IPM) and other intangibles (I-stuff). She has written numerous articles and is a frequent speaker about how companies can extract value from their innovations. She is the coauthor of Einstein in the Boardroom (John Wiley & Sons, 2006) and Edison in the Boardroom (John Wiley & Sons, 2001).

Patrick H. Sullivan is an expert on extracting value from intangibles. He has pioneered the development of methods and practices for analyzing, valuing and managing intangibles for business purposes. He is the founder of ICMG, LLC, and has consulted with over 100 companies on issues related to value extraction and valuation. The methods and procedures he has developed are taught in universities and are in use by companies around the world. He is the founder of the ICM Gathering and, with Suzanne Harrison, shares co-convener responsibility.
