Approaches for multi-objective optimization in the ecodesign of electric systems

Abstract

This chapter reviews multi-objective optimization techniques that can be used to improve the performance of energy technologies. After an initial discussion of ecodesign principles, it discusses different types of models and algorithms, including Pareto optimality. It then reviews optimal problem transformation techniques and their practical application.
