Chapter 6. Creating Text-Based HTML Auction Templates

We’ll begin our foray into HTML auction templates by presenting a variety of text-based templates. We start with the all-text approach for two reasons. First, it’s relatively simple—at least compared to later templates that feature graphics, links, tables, and such. Second, you’ll use the techniques presented here to create more sophisticated templates; consider these text-based templates to be the building blocks for the fancier templates you’ll create in later chapters.
