Part 8 Managing and Syncing Contacts with Address Book

The Address Book is part of Mac OS X. It enables you to add, edit, and remove name, phone, email and address information for individuals, companies, and groups on your Mac. It also manages your Me card.

A Me card is created when you first log in to Mac OS X. The name you create for your user account is added to the Address Book as a Me card. You can add more people to the Address Book as individuals or groups. You can also print Address Book contacts (for example, if you want to print mailing labels for invitations or to let folks know your address has changed).
