Part 5 Using Pages
Pages is a word processing and page layout program. Pages is one of three programs in Apple’s iWork suite, which includes Keynote, for presentations, and Numbers, for spreadsheets. The focus of these applications is to provide compatibility with rich-text, plain-text, and Microsoft Office files with a user-friendly set of common features to enable you to create presentations, spreadsheets, and text layout documents.
More than 100 word processing and page layout templates are included with Pages. Creating any file starts with a template. This chapter shows you some word processing basics and introduces you to some of the objects and layout-related features in Pages.
