Part 7. Playing Music

If it feels to you as if we’ve been getting ready for this chapter for a good many pages, you’re right. It’s great to know how to set up iTunes and how to load an iPod, but what most people want to do is play some tunes!

iTunes and the iPod share many music playback and browsing features, allowing you to control, navigate, and customize the sound of your tunes.

Like the iPod, and any CD player for that matter, iTunes provides controls for playback, pause, fast forward/rewind, moving between tracks, repeating, and shuffling songs. Those features are roughly duplicated.
