Common Problems with MTS
Generally, problems experienced with MTS configurations fall into one of the following categories.
Connection Problems
It is possible to get a dedicated connection even though you had asked for an MTS connection. Also, an MTS connection might be hung. Several data dictionary views can be checked to verify that a particular connection is an MTS connection or whether it is having any connection problems:
v$circuit lists all the virtual circuits in the instance.
v$session displays session information. The SERVER field of this view displays SHARED or NONE if it's an MTS session.
v$dispatcher displays information about the dispatchers. The ACCEPT field of this view determines whether the dispatchers are accepting any more connections. ...
