Decompiling Java Classes

Sometimes you might want to decompile Java classes. Decompiling will change a Java class back to its equivalent source file. The source file is not necessarily an exact replica of the original source file, but it gives you an indication of how the Java Virtual Machine might be treating your Java program. This knowledge can be a powerful debugging feature. Two steps are required for decompiling Java classes:

  1. Obtain the Java class(es) to decompile.

  2. Use a decompiler to decompile the class.
