Next Steps

I have mentioned earlier that Oracle8i provides two client-side alternatives for accessing Oracle databases from Java—JDBC and SQLJ. The previous chapter showed us the connection aspects of JDBC while this chapter demonstrated how to access the data in JavaStop using JDBC client-side drivers.

The next chapter will demonstrate the use of SQLJ for accessing JavaStop data. We will also learn how SQLJ helps in writing efficient code.
