Issues with Web-enabling JavaStop

During the process of Web-enabling JavaStop, we face several issues similar to the ones experienced when Web-enabling any application. These issues include how we would achieve the following in our environment:

  • Develop applications for the Web— This issue involves choosing the IDE for development and the database technology. We have chosen Oracle8i and JDeveloper for Java development, because of reasons mentioned earlier.

  • Performance.

  • Security.

  • Availability.

  • Concurrency.

  • Scalability.

  • Deployment of applications.

  • Communication protocols to use.

These and other issues will be discussed throughout this book.
