If you build it, it will ship. If you don’t, it won’t. Seems pretty obvious, doesn’t it? But I don’t mean “build it once and ship it.” I mean “build it often and regularly.” You must get that product visible. Public.

Can you imagine blindfolding dozens or even hundreds of people and turning them loose to construct a building without seeing what they were doing? It’s essential to build the software product under construction as frequently as possible. The point of this rule is to engage the team in building the product frequently, regularly, throughout the development cycle, with the highest possible quality, and in a public place where all team members can have access to it.
