Optional
This attribute is included in the HTML 4.0 specification for
consistency with other elements. Although NAME
attributes are used for identifying form elements upon submission and
for scripting references, the browsers through Version 4 do not
support this attribute. (IE 4 uses the ID
attribute to assign a name to an AREA
element for
scripted references.) This attribute may become active in future
browsers.
