Script Commands

You choose script commands from a pop-up list in the Inspector, as shown in Figure A-5. You configure one line of your script at a time through this interface.

As you can see, all commands can have comments. Where appropriate, commands can take arguments. Most commands also enable you to place a condition on them. Each command listed in the following sections shows a full screenshot of its Inspector window and enumerates the valid arguments and whether conditions are applicable.

For quicker reference, we listed the commands here in alphabetical order.

Exit

The Exit command shown in Figure A-6 leaves a script.

Note that exiting a script—rather than jumping to another item—will halt play-back of the title. This can be useful for things such as password-protected titles or mismatched region codes.

Exit Pre-Script

You can use the Exit Pre-Script command (Figure A-7) only in a pre-script. It jumps directly to the item using the pre-script.

It's important to use this operation to leave your pre-script and get on with playing the item associated with the pre-script. Using the Exit command will halt playback altogether.
