About this Book
This book is an overview of the DVCAM format and its equipment. It is written from the perspective of a user. I tried to write as if I were explaining how to use the equipment to a friend or colleague standing next to me—the way I would try to demonstrate it in a workshop or class.
This book doesn’t pretend to be totally comprehensive, or answer every question. But, I do hope this book answers the main questions that arise in the course of actual production, from the perspective of a cameraman who uses the equipment.
