My sound doesn't work. Seriously, I can't hear a thing
Make sure that your speakers are connected to the output jack in the back of your PC. Check the color of the jack—if you have a single wire, it should be plugged into the green jack.
Check to make sure you plugged your power cable into the back of the speakers.
If none of this works, uninstall your sound card drivers and then reinstall them. It's possible that you forgot to install them in the first place.
If reinstalling the drivers doesn't work, you either have a bad sound card or the sound card isn't compatible with your system. Either way, return the sound card and get a new one, but make sure the new one is high quality and compatible with your system.
