My keyboard won't work. Or maybe it's my mouse that's busted?

  1. Make sure the keyboard and mouse are plugged into their corresponding ports in the back of your PC.

  2. If they are, restart your computer. It's possible that you plugged these in after you booted up your PC—you must turn the computer completely off when you hook up these devices.

  3. If you have a Universal Serial Bus (USB) keyboard or mouse, make sure you have USB keyboard and/or mouse support enabled in the BIOS. Remember, to enter the BIOS, you must restart the computer and hit the Delete key immediately and repeatedly as your computer boots up.
