Prior to setting up the BIOS, make sure to read the motherboard manual completely.

BIOS, which stands for Basic Input/Output System, is the onboard programming that allows your motherboard and components to communicate at the most basic levels. It allows you to configure how everything will work. You'll use the BIOS to configure your controllers and drives and to set the date and time for your PC.

For this installation, we show you how to set up optimized defaults and then we show you a few changes we make to them. If the BIOS looks a little foreign, don't be afraid. Getting around in the BIOS is easier than it seems ...
