Chapter 9. Building A Gamer

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and build a PC from scratch? If you've read the rest of this book, you should be. We already gave you a crash course in PC anatomy with a solid grounding in all the components that make your machine tick or, in this case, kill (we're betting you play a lot of first-person shooters).

We also tried to help you determine just what type of system you need to build. Don't worry if you're not building a Gamer; the components vary from system to system, but the way you snap them all together is pretty much the same. The only big difference comes when you're building a PC using a Small Form Factor (SFF) case, which we explain in the next chapter.
