Chapter 5. The Gamer

All right, here's where we start spending some money (Figure 5.1). The Gamer, after all, is a whole different beast than the Internet Surfer or the Home Office PC. You're going to have to pay a little extra for top-of-the-line components, especially when it comes to the processor, memory, and video card. To help you afford these pricier parts, we recommend a smaller hard drive than the one in the Home Office PC and we scale back to just one optical drive.
