Chapter 4. The Home Office PC

The Home Office PC is similar to the Internet Surfer (see “The Internet Surfer” at the end of this chapter) except that it has more juice (Figure 4.1). For this configuration, we double your memory, double your hard drive, upgrade you to the 64-bit world, and step up to a 17-inch LCD flat panel, all for the low, low price of around $1,200. Trust us, it's money well spent. Do a little comparison shopping and you'll see that you can't get a better off-the-shelf system for the same money.
