Time for action — installing the Colorbox module

Before we can display Media-based images in a Colorbox, we need to install and enable the module.

  1. Open the Mac OS X Terminal or Windows Command Prompt, and change to our d7dev directory: Mac: /Applications/MAMP/ or Windows: C:\XAMPP\htdocs\d7dev.
  2. Next, use Drush to download and enable the current dev release of the Colorbox module (http://drupal.org/project/colorbox).
    $ drush dl colorbox-7.x-1.x-dev
    Project colorbox (7.x-1.x-dev) downloaded to [success]
    /Users/kurt/htdocs/d7dev/sites/all/modules/colorbox.
    $ drush en colorbox
    The following extensions will be enabled: colorbox
    ColorboxColorboxinstallingDo you really want to continue? (y/n): y
    colorbox was enabled successfully. [ok]
