Time for action — developing an HTML5 contenteditable module

  1. Open Aptana Studio, and navigate to the /sites/all/modules/custom folder in the Project Explorer tab of the Web perspective. Right-click on the custom folder, select New, and select Folder. Enter html5_contenteditable as the name of the folder, and click on the Finish button.
  2. Now, we need to create the necessary files for our contenteditable module: contenteditable.info and contenteditable.module.
  3. Next, add some of the basic configuration information to the contenteditable.info file:
    • name: HTML5 contentEditable
    • description: "Uses a custom formatter to allow you to make some fields editable from the display through the HTML5 contentEditable attribute."
    • package: Fields
    • version: "7.x-1.x-dev" ...
