The human connection is the most powerful force in the world for growth, health, fulfillment, and joy. At its most distilled, we call it love. As it spreads out, I call it connection, a feeling of being a part of something beneficent that is larger than oneself.
As powerful as connection is, it is typically relegated to some sentimental bin, trivialized, and dismissed as puny when compared to the supposedly more muscular drivers of excellence like rigor, discipline, sacrifice, and, of course, hard work.
