CAFÉ SIGN

This classic café sign is a great project to practice creating controlled edges and soft color blends. The sky and clouds need to be kept very soft, so the blue must be added slowly and smoothly, whereas the sign and the lettering have very defined, crisp edges. In this project, your pencil point is an important tool. Use a sharp point for crisp lines and edges, and use a slightly dulled pencil for the softer sky to avoid creating harsh lines.
