GETTING STARTED

Experimenting and becoming familiar with your tools will make it easier for you to learn to draw. Play around with your pencils to see the different kinds of lines you can create, and practice doodling to learn how to control your strokes. Then experiment with different grades of pencils to create a variety of tones. The exercises on the next few pages will introduce you to your pencils and help you develop your hand/eye coordination.
