Proportion refers to the relationship of size between two or more elements of a composition. The proportions of an adult dog—for example, the size of its head relative to the size of its chest—differ from those of a puppy. And the proportions vary from breed to breed. To effectively communicate the age and breed, you must learn to depict the proportions accurately.
