Drawing Exercises

There are fifteen drawing exercises in this chapter, most designed to take approximately one hour to complete. To maximize drawing improvement, complete one exercise per week in addition to a weekly sketchbook drawing. Because each exercise builds progressively on skills developed in the previous exercises, it is best to start with Exercise 1 and continue in the order that they appear in this chapter. If you are just beginning to learn how to draw, or if it has been awhile since you did, read the first six chapters of this book before starting any of the exercises. Many terms and techniques you will need to know are defined and explained in these chapters.
