I mplementing a workforce reduction should only be done after careful planning. What will happen to the people involved in the downsizing process? How will they be affected, both directly and indirectly? What financial resources will be needed? When should you make a public announcement? How much time will you need? Will you have to reassign employees whom you are keeping, in order to pick up the slack? What legal considerations are there?
