The Art and Science of Contacting and Inviting

Words are important, and although I am a big believer in scripts, word tracks, and agendas, it is also vital that you start with the right mind-set.

The proper mind-set will have a tremendous impact on your ability to communicate effectively with your potential business partners. Many people within the industry of network marketing will refer to your mind-set as your posture. We are not talking about physical posture, but rather an attitude or frame of mind.

The right attitude and mind-set begin with your belief, and we can break down belief into three areas.

1. Gain belief in the industry of network marketing. Hopefully this book will give you confidence in the industry as a whole. There is simply no denying the success of an industry that does in excess of $114 billion in sales worldwide. According to the Direct Selling Association, a whopping, 74 percent of Americans have purchased products from this channel of distribution.

2. Gain belief in your company of choice. The chapter on choosing the right company outlines what to look for. Once you’ve made a quality decision based on all available information, put your blinders on and run with that company. Changing companies on a regular basis, based on a “grass is always greener” attitude, is a good way to delay your success for a long time.
