6.4. Summary

This chapter introduced the concept of working with pages and discussed most of the options associated with configuring them. You learned just about everything there is to know about adding, copying, and deleting pages; moving them to different locations within your site; and configuring many of the Basic and Advanced Page Settings including:

  • Page

  • Name, Title, Description, and Keywords

  • Parent Page

  • Include In Menu?

  • Icon

  • Page Skin

  • Page Container

  • Disabled?

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Link URL

In this chapter you actually built your initial website hierarchy. Hopefully, you have learned that adding pages to a DNN website and applying Page Settings is fairly straightforward. Once you get the hang of it you will find that you can build entire website hierarchies, literally, in just minutes.

Now that you've created the MBR Design hierarchy, you can move on to the meat and potatoes of your website—the content. In the next chapter you are introduced to the concept of modules, and you add content by implementing several of the core modules included with a standard DNN installation.
