7.2. Design

This section focuses on using some of DNN's core modules that are implemented extensively with typical DNN websites. Specifically, in this chapter you learn how to make the best use of modules. You learn how to:

  • Assign modules (turn them on)

  • Install modules

  • Add new modules to a page

  • Add existing modules to a page

  • Move modules to different locations on a single page

  • Move modules to other pages

  • Delete Modules

  • Apply containers to modules

  • Customize module settings and properties

In this chapter, you also learn how to implement the following widely used core modules:

  • Text/HTML

  • Media

  • Announcements

  • Links

  • Survey

  • FAQ

By the end of this chapter, you will have a good understanding of how to use many of the core modules included with DNN. This is a good thing because you'll want to use them over and over again in your future DNN projects. You'll also have a good understanding of how to install new modules and configure them to your advantage in ways you may not have even thought of. As you move through this learning process, I'm confident you'll discover how much easier your life can be when it comes to creating and maintaining DNN content using core modules.
