Tuning the IMAP Service
There are a series of notes.ini variables that you can set to refine the way the IMAP mail service works. They are described in Table 17.4:

Set to 1 to cause IMAP to return the exact size of MIME messages. Defaults to 0, which permits IMAP to return an estimated message size.
It is much easier for Domino to estimate the sizes of messages than to determine their exact sizes, so its setting will affect the server's performance. Set this variable only if IMAP mail clients require exact message sizes.
