Basic User Registration

A full-fledged Notes user has a Person document in the domain Directory, is a member of various groups, has a mail database on a mail server, and has an ID file. The ID file includes at least one certificate signed by a certifier (that is, by you, the possessor of the certifier ID) and identifying the user with a unique public key. That public key and its corresponding private key are also stored in the ID file.

Luckily, you don't have to set all this stuff up by hand. Domino Administrator automatically generates the keys, the certificate(s), the ID file, the Person document, and the mail database, and adds the person to designated groups, all as part of the registration process.
