Setting Up the Default Execution Control List

The Execution Control List (ECL) is a feature of the Notes client intended to protect the user from maliciously written programs running inside Notes, that is, from email viruses and the like. In the Notes client, you can access the ECL on the Basics page of the User Preferences dialog box by clicking the Security Options button. This opens the Workstation Security: Execution Control List dialog box, as depicted in Figure 5.1.
