Chapter 5. User Registration and Client Setup

In this chapter we'll cover the process of setting up generic Notes users, that is, users who come into the office everyday and use Notes at their desks, and who use Notes mail and databases, but don't necessarily use Notes as an Internet client. (We'll cover mobile Notes users and those who will use Notes to connect to Internet mail, directory, and news servers in Chapter 6, "Advanced Client Setup." )

The steps involved in setting up new users include the following:

  • Create user OU certifiers (if you plan to use them and they don't exist yet).

  • Add alternate languages to O and OU certifiers (if you plan to use alternate names).

  • Create User Setup Profiles
